SCANDAL in our SCHOOLS?
Last year I became aware of the poor standard of some of the English in my
children's school books. They were well designed and attractively put
together, but they contained some of the worst English mistakes I have ever
seen in Denmark. I checked out the whole series of books from beginner to
9th grade and found they all contained errors typical for Danish speakers.
These books are used for teaching English!
These examples are taken from just two of the books in the series, one for the
very young and the other for older students. But they were not isolated
typographical errors...
